Be part of the GPT100 Crew

Welcome to the chance to experience the GPT100 in a whole new capacity. Volunteering at the GPT100 brings you into the GPT Family and lets you see the event from the other side. Or perhaps you are one of our absolute Gems that have volunteered with us before at GPT100 or another SingleTrack Event. Whatever your background is, we would be so thankful to have you help out at the Event. Whether you take on a role that is short and sweet, or you decide to help runners at an aid station ALL NIGHT LONG, it is YOU that makes this event possible, and it is YOU that helps the runners to achieve their incredible goals.

VOLUNTEER BENEFITS:

We do like to give back to those who help out. While you are a “volunteer” we think it’s only fair to provide you with some benefits to help encourage you to come along and bring your friends.

  • 1-3 hours: A GPT100 Cap, Crew Shirt + 30% off ASICS voucher

  • 3-6 hours: A GPT100 Cap, Crew Shirt + 30% off ASICS voucher + $75 credit towards a future SingleTrack Events race.

  • 6-9 hours: A GPT100 Cap, Crew Shirt + 30% off ASICS voucher + $100 credit towards a future SingleTrack Events race.

  • 9+ hours: A GPT100 Cap, Crew Shirt + 30% off ASICS voucher + Night Time Meal Voucher + $150 credit towards a future SingleTrack Events race.

  • All volunteers will receive Priority Entry to next year's GPT100 event.

Please note that the above hours relate to total volunteer hours across the whole event, not per shift (ie, you will not receive more than a $150 credit voucher).

Please note that credit vouchers are only valid for one use and there will be no change given in cash or credit.

VOLUNTEER ROLES:

We have not yet written up our staff and volunteer roster for the 2025 event. This will be finalised by the end of around August as we finalise the field numbers and detailed Event Schedule. So for now we ask you to provide us with details of your availability and your preferences to help us allocate you to the correct spot. Don’t worry, you will be able to select your preferred roles closer to the event. Click the button above or below to sign up. Spelled out here are some of the roles we will need to fill.

  • Aid Station Helper: These are big roles to fill especially with many aid stations and long runner windows. They are broken up into 4 - 10 hour shifts. This is the thick of the event, where a volunteer can really be the difference between a good runner experience and a great one.

  • Registration and Gear Check: These are nicely defined roles where we need as many hands as possible to check runners mandatory gear requirements, hand out bibs and trackers and assist in pre ordered merch.

  • Course Marshals: There are not loads of these roles, but we struggle every year to fill them. If you are a solitary type who doesn’t mind standing out in Nature, cheering runners, then this is the role for you. Having a presence in some sections and directing runners the correct way is important for us as an event.

  • Finish Line Helpers: Handing out Medals, greeting runners as they cross the line and do many little jobs to help us create a seamless race day.

  • Sweepers: The people we rely on. This is the ultimate assurance for us to know we have sweepers at the back of the field who we can trust. This is all about knowing where the last runner is and assisting any runners that may need help. You may need to be in frequent communication with the race organisers to keep them up to date on the conditions on the ground. Be Prepared, take loads of everything and settle into an all day pace. You may be required to Clear some sections of the course as well.

  • Shuttle Drivers: We do have many 10 seaters driving here, there and everywhere to help runners and crew get around. Specifically, getting runners back to Halls Gap after each Stage or from Dunkeld after the Miler. If you like hearing stories from the trail and are a safe driver, this may be the job for you.
